Spring Break!

I was going to go back and fill in the details from the past several months, but then that would keep me from ever writing. So there is nothing like the present!

We have done so many things this week:
  1. Brooke has been taking swim lessons every night at the YMCA. It is a great refresher about water safety before summer (besides, it was free!)
  2. We visited the Discovery Science Cube and spent 5 hours there. That is a record for us. There were so many new exhibits, we just couldn't get to it all. Perry brought a friend, John to play with. They spent almost 3 hours inside the DinoQuest area and won the game. They were rewarded with a bracelet in addition to a fun time. The girls played with friends Brianna and Paige. Staci was entertained by Summer (excellent at snagging a table for lunch right when a big group was leaving).
  3. Wardlow Park
  4. Gymnastics - the girls have accomplished a lot in the last few months. Brooke can now climb the pole to the top. Sage and Libby are doing pull overs on the bars and looking good on cartwheels.
  5. Swimming in Irvine - One of our friends, the Vivancos moved away a few months ago. So my gang and the Astle gang headed down there for some swim time.
  6. Lunch at Home Town Buffet - My Dad treated us all, including 2 of my aunts and 2 of my uncles to lunch for my birthday. He even invited my Mom and Ed to join in. The kids ate so much food!
  7. Bike ride along the canal with Grandma Suzette to Kettering Elementary. This was a first for many of us except Lee and Libby. Brooke actually made it there and back on her little bike. Libby and Sage are pros without their training wheels.
  8. Perry stayed up late watching "Meet Joe Black" (one of Staci's favorite movies) with Dad and mama Staci. I think it is fun for Perry to eat popcorn and be a big kid every once in a while.

I do believe we had a full week. I'm sure I even left some things out. We are a happy family (most of the time).

Makes me tired just thinking about it all. It must have been spring break to get all those activities in.
